2 apps to turn your Live Photos into GIFS

I take many travel photos of some beautiful buildings and scenery. While scrolling trough my phone and admiring some of my live photos the other day, I wanted to share them on my social media but didn’t know how.

I discovered these two amazing apps that will turn your live photos into GIFS

Here is what you need to do in order to share those live photos online:

There are two apps which you can use to create GIFS. It is up to you if you want to use one or both depending what effect you want.

Motion Stills

This app is a quick and easy way to turn your live photos into GIFS. Select whichever photo you want to create a GIF. You can choose options such as stabilising the mini video and adding text. you can also choose if you want the GIF to repeat or have a rewind effect similar to the boomerang app. Once as you are finished editing it saves the GIF to your videos. you are then free to share it on social media. When sharing the GIF select the video option on Facebook/twitter/Instagram and your GIF will be in your videos folder. The only downside to this app is that it limits the different font you can use with the GIF. Download the app here

Canva App

Canva is an amazing resource for creating beautiful text to appear with an image. If you ever wanted to jazz up your banner on Facebook or twitter, this is the app to go to.

To create a live photo with different features select whatever size template, for example, Facebook or Instagram post template. Once you have finished editing your image save as a video. The only issue with this app is it doesn’t stabilise the gif the same way as motion stills.  If you want to stabilise the GIF, save the photo as a live image and continue to edit in Motion Stills. The stabilise option in Motion Stills, might create the text to bounce around the GIF which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. Download the app here

I couldn’t believe how easy is was to create a GIF with my live photos. I will definitely be keeping this in mind in future when I  take travel photos
