During my weeks holidays in Sitges, I went for a lovely tapas meal in Nems Restaurant
This unassuming restaurant is upstairs on a quiet side-street in the town center of Sitges We arrived with no booking and thankfully we were offered seats at the bar.
The menu had a small range of tapas, there was not a huge selection, however, the items on the menu were excellent. As well as the tapas you would expect on the menu such as Bravas and bread with olive oil, there was also salmon, cod, pulled pork and steak tar tar
The Bravas was exquisite. It is probably the best Bravas I have ever tasted. We also ordered the Nems dish which is a seasoned sausage, covered in what seemed to be rice paper.
Other dishes we tasted were the Confit Pork Neck and Cold Beef. All the tapas were beautifully prepared and were full of flavour often accompanied with delicious sauces
The icing on the cake was the desserts. I ordered a white chocolate ice cream with basil and shortbread. This unique combination of flavours worked well together and enhanced the flavour of each aspect of the dessert.
My dinner companion ordered the Pannacotta which was topped with strong chocolate granules and a coconut cream. This also had a beautiful taste and the harshness of the chocolate was smoothed over by the lightness of the coconut.
The whole dinner came to 50 euros which included 5 tapas, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. This was incredibly reasonable for the high quality of food being presented.
Book in advance
We were very lucky to get a seat as this place due to its reputation for good food it is quite busy. If you plan on going there book a table in advance to avoid missing out on the beautiful gastronomic experience.
