September is a mixed bag of viewing entertainment with a great deal of original content being released on Netflix. Check out what is in store this month on Netflix and in the Cinema

Luke Cage – Season 1

Mike Colter who played Luke Cage in the TV Series Jessica Jones is getting his own spin-off show. This is part of the Marvel TV show series. Expect all the superheroes to come together in a TV show called The Defenders at some point next year

 Narcos – Season 2

The TV show based on the life of Pablo Escobar is returning to Netflix for Season 2 in September. If you have not watched this show yet go and watch it now.

The Imitation Game

Based on the true story of a group of British mathematicians who attempt to decode Nazi messages. If you missed this movie (though I am sure I have viewed it on TV at this point) you can now watch it on Netflix in September.

If you missed this well received cartoon in the Cinema it will be available in September to watch

Other classic movies hitting Netflix this month include Jaws, Saving Private Ryan and Top Gun

Cafe Society – 2nd September

This New Woody Allen movie based on the 1930’s in New York and Hollywood. It is sure to be a fan favourite. Currently receiving 70% on Rotten tomatoes

Sausage Party – 2nd September
When I think of this movie I kinda feel as if the cartoon world has run out of cartoons to come up with, however it is getting 82% on Rotten Tomatoes so it may not be that bad after all. Though it does remind me of a Simpsons sketch which I have left for you below.

Simpsons parody

Ben Hur – 7th September

The 1959 movie classic Ben Hur is now getting its own remake. This movie does not seem to be a favourite among critics but more favourable amongst its audience

Magnificent Seven – 23rd September

Based in the Wild West about a bunch of bandits coming together to become The Magnificent Seven. This is a remake of the 1960 movie of the same name. Starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt, this is the movie I am most looking forward to in September

Blair Witch – 15th September

The Blair Witch Project is back which follows on from the original story where a brother of one of the original characters goes to look for his sister in the woods where she went missing.

Bridget Jones’ Baby – 16th September
Bridget Jones is back but this time she is having a baby and is unsure who the father is. As for this movie I don’t know if I am going to be running to the cinema to watch it. I loved the classic movie but the sequel was not great. I just hope they did not make a huge mistake in making this instalment. Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.

Anthropoid – 9th September
This is a true story based in Nazi Germany where a group attempt to takedown one of Hitlers main commanding officers. This has an excellent cast including Jamie Dornan & Cillian Murphy
