October: What to watch in the Cinema and on Netflix

I think October is my favorite month of the year. Not only is it my birthday but Halloween also brings lots of really good thriller movies in the cinema and shows on Netflix.

Check out my favorite TV Shows and Movies to watch this October

5th October 2016 – Bladerunner 2049

Very little information has been given about the plot of this movie. The only information that has been given is that it takes place 30 years after the original movie and stars Ryan Gosling as a new blade runner. It has gotten great reviews and the cinematography is excellent.

13th October – The Lego Ninjago Movie

I absolutely love the Lego movies. They are always full of fun and this new Lego movie offers even more. This film is about 4 ninjas who try to save their city from destruction.

13th October – The Snowman

This movie is about a detective who is investigating the disappearance of a woman whose scarf was found on a snowman. Starring Michael Fassbender along with Jamie Clayton, Rebecca Ferguson and Val Kilmer

20th October – Happy Death Day

A college student must relieve her death over and over again until she figures out who done it. Kind of a mash-up between a slasher movie and Groundhog Day.

24th October – Thor Ragnarok

This is the latest installment in Thor universe. Thor finds himself without his superpowers and in a gladiator style fighting ring trying to save his planet.

6th October – The Life and Death of Marsha P. Johnson

This documentary looks at the life of Marsha P. Johnson one of the biggest LGBT icons of the 60’s and investigates her death which was originally viewed as a suicide.

13th October – The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

Starring Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman as a dysfunctional family living in New York.

13th October – Mindhunter

This new series on Netflix follows two detectives Starring Jonathan Groff ( you may remember him from Glee) and Holt McCallany. They interview murderers to understand convicted killers motives to stop future murders from happening.

27th October – Stranger Things (Season 2)

I am excited about this new season. It was the biggest thing to hit Netflix last Autumn. It is back with a bang this year and ready to uncover more secrets from the upside down.
